My project work captures aerial perspectives of the unique, exposed geology of the American Southwest. I am particularly drawn to the striking tapestry of layered rock formations, vibrant clay hills, and ephemeral salt flats that can be found throughout this region.

Upon reflection, I have always been fascinated by aerial views of nature and landscapes, and in particular the intimate and abstract visuals this perspective affords. Previously restricted to traditional aircraft (like airplanes or helicopters), this perspective is now fully accessible through drones, opening up vast creative possibilities.

Several of my projects reflect a deep, underlying commitment to protecting public lands. Driven by a profound connection to the landscapes I document, I stand firmly behind the preservation of these lands. Witnessing the overt, visible pressures currently threatening these open spaces, I have a strong desire to ensure they stay wild and enduring.
